Children In Need

Today I am doing something very important! I am sitting with Pudsey and other little bears to collect money for the Children In Need!

I met Pudsey the first time at Newby Hall, as we were visiting all the bears from Gyles Brandreth. He was already collecting money there, he is so generous!

I did not have a white thing with red dots to put on around my head like Pudsey, so I tore up a piece of my red trousers with the white hearts. I hope it will work too and people will give much money for the poor children!

Love you all

We Love Paddington Movies

By Truffle McFurry

A long time ago I told you about Euston, our little bear from Paddington Bear’s family, who arrived all the way alone from England. We all had many discussions to find the right name for him, he wanted to be called “Paddington” too, but my Mom Miki said we could not do it, because there is only one Paddington.

But now we have it, he is called “Euston”. Because he took the train at Euston Station in London, to come to us in Spain.

We have watched together the first Paddington movie, we love it so much! And now we can’t wait to see the new one, everybody says it is great. My parents said we will look at it for Christmas. What a wonderful Christmas gift for the whole family!

Love you all

Take care

Mr Bean’s Teddy

By Miki de Goodaboom

I was once a big fan of Mr Bean, one of the rare TV comic figures who did manage to make me laugh. There are not so many!

These days, I did not know Teddy Bears, I had not met my Truffle McFurry yet, and had had none as a child. I certainly did not get it with the Teddy Bear love, and to my deep shame today, I even ignored them. Which is why I did not even know that Mr Bean’s best friend was his Teddy Bear “Teddy”!

Here is what I found about him on the “Mr Bean Wiki”:

“…Teddy (born in August 15) is Mr. Bean‘s teddy bear, generally regarded as Mr Bean’s best friend. The bear is a dark brown, knitted oddity with button eyes and sausage-shaped limbs, invariably ending up broken in half or in various other states of destruction and disfiguration. Although Teddy is inanimate, Mr Bean occasionally pretends it is alive. For example, when Mr Bean hypnotises Teddy, he snaps his fingers and the bear’s head falls backwards as if it has fallen asleep instantly (Bean used his finger to prop Teddy’s head up). Certainly, Bean behaves as if the bear is real, buying it a Christmas present or trying not to wake it in the mornings. The bear is often privy to Mr. Bean’s various schemes and doubles as a good dish cloth or paint brush in an emergency; it has been decapitated (“Mr. Bean in Room 426”) and shrunk in the wash (“Tee Off, Mr. Bean”). In the animated series, he has a girlfriend. It is actually Irma Gobb’s teddy (Lottie), which doesn’t appear in the original series.

Over the years, Teddy has undergone several changes. When it debuted on The Trouble with Mr. Bean, it had a smaller head. Two episodes later, its head reached its current size, but its “eye” wasn’t present until Bean placed gold thumb tacks on its face. The “eyes” have since been replaced with two small white buttons sewn over Teddy’s face, giving it a distinct image…”

Well, I  guess I will have to look at Mr Bean again. I do need to see him with teddy. In the meanwhile I have painted them together… based on toys, which were given to me last year…

Shakesbear

Hallo everybody!

I told you millions of times, I am writing books right now. And I need them to be best-sellers, because I want to buy a castle where all abandoned Teddy Bears of the world could live.

Buy my Mom Miki de Goodaboom says, it is difficult to write a best-seller. So, she has decided to invite the Great Shakesbear at our home in Spain, to give me lessons about how to write a best-seller.

I had 2 lessons already. When I have my lessons, I am wearing my school boy uniform. Well, I never was at a real school, so I don’t have a school uniform, but we looked in my wardrobe and put something smart together.

The first lesson was while my parents were swimming. When they came back home my Mom asked me  how the lesson was, and I told her it was great and exciting. But she looked at me with her big brown eyes. She did not understand one word! My Dad told her that I was speaking all Shakesbearean suddenly!

Love you all, take care, xx

Hi everybody!

I told you I am writing books, but my Mom told me that as long as they are not published, i am not a real writer yet.
But now I am really a real writer: my story of visiting the Bear House from my friend Gyles Brandreth in England has been published in an international Teddy Bear magazine. Part 1. Next month is part 2. I am so happy, and my Mom and my Dad are so proud of me!
And I hope, so are YOU!

Love you all xx

The Stonegates Teddy Bear Shop In York

By Truffle McFurry

Hallo everybody!

We are very busy here writing many books!

One of the books will be about York, that big city we visited last year. There was a wonderful teddy bear shop there. I was the first time I was in a shop where they only sell Teddy Bears, I was very impressed.

Here is what I write in the book:

“…We arrived then at the Teddy bear shop. In front of it there was a very big bear, much bigger than me, much bigger than my Mom and Auntie Ann, much bigger than everyone around. And he was kind of scary. From inside my bag I gave with my paw three little shots in my Mom’s back. Her and me, we have a secrete code. When I want something I should give her some little shots. Three means that I am scared and that I want to go away. One means that I want to rescue a bear. And so on…

… there was a little cute girl with the scary giant bear. She was having a photo with him. I thought, if a little girl can do that, I can do it too. I am a tough boy, me! So, I asked my Mom to take a photo of me sitting on the big bear! She was so proud of me, again I was stronger than my fears. She always ask me to. She says, nobody and nothing will be able to hurt me then in my life…”

If you want to know more, you will have to buy the book when it is out!

Take care, love you all, xxx

Hello ! I am Teddy “Ince” Bear.
I play football and as you can guess, my hero is Tom Ince, the best midfielder in the world !
He belongs to a very, very good team : the Derby County FC.
You know what ? If I keep to be a good son (and a good pupil…) my father promised to get a complete supporter kit, just for me !
I love you, dad ! And Up the Rams !

PS: Miki de Goodaboom and her Teddy bear Truffle McFurry want to dedicate that post to their favourite football team, Derby County FC. Today is the last game of  the season 2016/2017, The Rams have not performed as well as we would have wished, but our love is unconditional, we will always support them! UP THE RAMS indeed, Teddy Ince and Jo Du Nor!

On The Little Train At Newby Hall

By Truffle McFurry

Hallo everybody!

I haven’t written for a long long time, because we were very sad in the family and I could not come to the computer and Go Teddy, my paws could not write any more.
I am a bit better now, thank you!

When we were visiting all the famous Teddy bears in Yorkshire, we also went on the little train, Auntie Ann, my Mom Miki, my Teddy cousin Bua and me. It was wonderful!

I love trains, and I have been on 2 already before, in Portugal, and in the Pyrenees, my Mom’s big mountains in France. We all love trains in the family… we are even thinking on travelling one day from one side of Canada to the other in the train!

Love you all, take care!

Bua And Bua

By Truffle McFurry

Hallo everybody, here is Truffle!

I have exciting news: I have been invited to write my own article in the international magazine “Teddy Bear Times”. I will write there about our visit of the Bearhouse at Newbyhall in England. And I will illustrate it with many bear paintings by my Mom Miki de Goodaboom.

Here are Bua and Bua. One Bua, the one on the right, is Auntie’s Ann German Teddy Bua, my dear cousin. The other Bua is Gyles Brandreth’s Bua… we met him at the bear picnic. I will tell their whole story in the article. And many more! I need to write them before 🙂

Take care

Love you all

The Berry Ladies At Newby

By Miki de Goodaboom (Text and Illustration)

These lovely ladies with the gorgeous berry hats were part of beautiful collection of tiny bears. When I say “tiny”, I mean something like between 5 and 10 cm. I had never seen such miniature bears before and I fell in love with them. As I anyway fall in love with almost all teddy bears which cross my way…  good that I have got a big heart, there is room for all of them in it… and for some humans too 🙂

These little ladies don’t look happy at all though… who knows what for they were made up like that, perhaps having to go an event they did not fancy at all… Ann La Mar means they look like going to a picnic… perhaps they don’t like a picnic at all and prefer an elegant tea afternoon in their own salon…
